As part of its campaign to renovate its property portfolio nationwide, Casino has awarded us a number of extension and renovation projects, including this particular centre out of which the "Voisin" concept was born.
The surrounding buildings offered few defining characteristics and the absence of homogeneity among the existing structures made it difficult to interpret and access the site.
One of our missions was to enhance legibility and to realign the site when adding the extension to the building.
The structure and its surrounds were reviewed to rebalance the existing volumes, reinvigorate the facades, reconnect the functional and visual aspects of the various spaces and execute a comprehensive landscaping project for the site.
The project received the 2009 Proco award.
